‘We nourish ourselves with consciously sourced and curated food and drinks, to honor our bodies, and with these considered choices, we in turn seek to nurture our world.

Through the many years hosting on idyllic Tulum beach, at our farm-to-table Tulum town location, our Malibu fast casual space, and all the dinners, events, pop-ups, and catering events that we have hosted, our kitchens offered an experience of deep care in the menus, recipes, sourcing and production of the food we created.

We prepared all of our recipes lovingly from scratch, nothing was processed, and nothing artificial. We chose to cook only with coconut or olive oil, season with natural salt, and and always upheld a no-compromise commitment in the sourcing of our animal proteins, choosing only pasture-raised poultry/meat and eggs, and wild-caught fish & seafood. Our Real Coconut menus were free from gluten, grain, and dairy, and refined sugar - and these are principles that we continue to consider as we assess our next evolution.

Our spaces became trusted sanctuaries for those seeking conscious nourishment, and a curative conscious community to interconnect and co-create within, both as part of Sanará, and in our stand-alone Real Coconut locations.

And whilst we nourished ourselves and grew together, we never ceased to consider the impact of our choices and how what we choose to consume, may play into the bigger picture of our collective wellbeing. Our menus featured low-impact crops such as coconut, cassava, plantains and hemp, woven into wholesome and delicious recipes, light on the digestion, yet which also have the ability to support global food needs and production, by farming regeneratively, and creating models for added value supply chains in regions such as Africa, Central & South America, and Asia, bypassing the need for excessive reliance on imports of industrially produced commodities such as wheat, corn and rice. We continue to be involved with regenerative farm projects in Liberia and West Africa, and Mexico, as well as learning more about the small farming systems in the UK, seeking paths to integrate the knowledge and understanding that we have gained over these past 10 years, for the sustaining of our collective global future.

And so, where do we go from here? We are assessing our next steps to understand how our kitchen concept may evolve, both into future Sanará locations, and potentially as pop-ups, and events. Please get in touch if you have any suggestions, requests, or ideas via connect@sanaraway.com
